The Wolves of Avalon led by Metatron (The Meads of Asphodel) unleash their fourth album of atmospheric pagan metal 'Y Gododdin' joined by pioneering guests Venom Inc., Taake and Drudkh on a limited run of 500 black & white splatter vinyls.
Advancing their journey through British history, 'The Wolves' ride with the northern Gododdin to depict the battle of Catraeth, one of the last conflicts of resistance against the Germanic settlers who massacred the Celtic peoples of what was to become England.
This latest LP sees The Wolves of Avalon once again enlist allies from the Black Metal elite including Tony Dolan (Venom Inc), Hoest (Taake), Wulfstan (Forefather) Nico Millar (Aklash) and Ukranian black metal legend Thurios of Drudkh to battle through five brand new tracks by songsmith James J.M Marinos.
Also lifted from the album arrives The Wolves of Avalon's first video single 'The shining company (feat. Thurios | Drudkh)' which will be released in November retelling the besieged realms of The Old North.
The 'Y Gododdin' vinyl and accompanying digital version will be released this November 25th 2022 exclusively through Godreah Records.
Includes unlimited streaming of Y Gododdin
via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

Cold, as dead men’s eyes and death is in the air
And here I linger and lie
In a moonlit vale, tears of death we weep
We ride, we ride, with fiery embers in the sky
Ride, we ride, smoke and dust in the murk of doom
Ride, we ride, muted winds of sleet and snow
Ride, we ride, through hollow gales in the valley below
Ride, we ride, snorting mares of dripping woe
Ride, we ride, in dark ravine and ashen dell
Ride, we ride, iron capped and iron heeled
Ride, we ride, pale pennons of dragons red
Iron blades, British soil
Everlake, pagan mist
Riding on, to what must be
The end of all, we claim to be
Moon shines bright on mail and shield
Dead men slain in scalding tears
Ravens glut on horrors dire, men once warm, wilt in fire
Laid to rest in dead men’s cloaks
On burning pyres of ash and oak
Smothered sighs caves entombed
Interred from life the witching yew
Laid to rest in dead men’s cloaks
On burning pyres of ash and oak
Haunts profane where due mists weep
Curled blue flakes into the grave

I've been a huge fan of this band since hearing 'Campfires', an album which I've played to death! This one is a little different in a way, and it took me sooooo long to get in to, but once it clicked, holy shit did it click. Sea Fire is an absolute banger that evokes sounds of Filosofem era Burzum and Mystifier to my ears...not a bad mix at all. I love 'Ghostly Shores' so much I bought the CD and the Cassette and now I eagerly await whatever comes next from OCR. 𝖛𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖗𝖒𝖔𝖗𝖐𝖊

I have owned this album for a few days now, and listened to it on repeat. I have no idea what it's about nor what these guys are saying, but my God do I feel hopeful and awesome. Outstanding work, I can't wait for the next one. Marc Alexander Goodwin
